Changing the Way the World Recycles
At g2 revolution, we practice Recyclogistics®, which simply means “Recycling Services for the Hard-to-Recycle.” We don’t just dispose of unwanted materials; we focus on finding Second Life® solutions for not only packaging, but what’s inside. Chemicals, paint, and other materials can be repurposed offering an alternative to landfill or hazardous waste programs. g2 is proud to be GreenCircle Zero Waste to Landfill certified demonstrating our commitment to green practices and landfill diversion.
Our Approach
At g2, our approach to handling clients’ products and packaging is guided by a strict hierarchy of sustainability options. We prioritize environmentally responsible solutions – disposal in a landfill is not part of our strategy. We ensure that landfilling is never used at any of our facilities and we only collaborate with partners who share our commitment to sustainability. Here’s a closer look at how we manage waste to keep it out of landfills:
Re-use (As-Is)
Our first priority is to reuse products and packaging in their original form whenever possible. This can involve refurbishing, repurposing, or redirecting items that are still functional. By extending the life of products through reuse, we conserve resources, reduce the environmental footprint, and support a circular economy where materials are valued and preserved.
Recycling, Composting & Reclamation
If direct reuse isn’t an option, the next step is to recycle materials back into the production stream. We handle a wide range of recyclables, including plastics, metals, glass, and paper, turning them into new products or raw materials. Additionally, organic waste is directed toward composting solutions, transforming biodegradable materials into valuable soil amendments that support sustainable agriculture.
Energy Recovery
(waste-to-energy)
For waste that cannot be reused or recycled, we focus on energy recovery as an alternative to disposal. This involves converting non-recyclable materials into usable energy through advanced Waste-to-Energy (WTE) technologies. While not as preferable as recycling, energy recovery is a more sustainable solution that reduces the volume of waste and generates power, minimizing the reliance on fossil fuels.
